Wildlife:  The adjacent  Forest Reserve is under significant urban pressure especially charcoal burning is a serious threat for the forest which has the status of a "Catchment Forest" . The cutting of trees is prohibited in a Catchment Forest. The Forest is well-known for its Galago/ Bush Baby  population, but also occasional hyena, bush pig, various species of mongoose and Blue and Vervet Monkeys are quite common. Most of the animals are aware of the safe haven at " Hills" and frequent on the premises.

Fencing: The natural vegetation around the property acts as a fence. Access to the premises is only possible at designated entrances.

Typographic:  Hills is on the foot hills of the ancient Forests   which further to the West and South are forming the Kazimzumbwi and Ruvu South Forest Reserves. The lowest level of the property is 113 masl and the highest 158 masl. The highest section is where the water tank is located providing the required water pressure. Sandstone layers in the subsoil explain the steep slopes which make the area very attractive for landscaping.
