The huts are constructed with a
historical touch of the Swahili Coast. The first
hut represents Pugu and the
African population of the mainland, the second hut brings
back to memory the visits of early
Chinese
sailors (10th century) to East Africa, bringing
their porcelain in exchange for ivory and other
exotic products.
The third hut
reminds the guest of the
Portuguese sometimes forgotten as the
first European settlers in the area (15th century)
The fourth hut is an enlarged version of the
previous ones, offering the opportunity to enjoy
the luxurious life of the upper class of the
Swahili
People. In 800 AD the Swahili Culture started
developing in the Coastal State Towns like Lamu
(Kenya) and Kilwa
